To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield

“Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.”
(Tennyson)

It is 1,400 days since I fell and banged my head, I still suffer symptoms, but I wont give up…..

Living in my head

Living in my head

Nothing prepares you
For the change
The unexpected knock
In this case literally
In this case
On the back of the head
An everyday slip

Now everyday
I need to accept the difference
The peculiarities of my life
Every feeling, symptom
Headache, stagger
Examined, questioned
Feared.

I am grateful
For it could be far worse
