One way to get around this issue, really the only way I have found is to write outside of WP and copy/paste the text into “paragraph blocks”. That way, your chosen font will be maintained, though tabs and indents will not paste true.

Ah, I do usually cut and past from WPS Writer, and was having line spacing and font issues with several blocks. :(
