Light on water

Drifting away down
under a dread
uncertain future
drowning
you are the light
at the top
of the water

  1. YES! Heroes, all. Our head doctor at our tiny ten bed hospital, has to live away from her young children to keep them safe. The grocery clerks are nervous and afraid, but have to show up at work anyway. I love the people singing and applauding on their balconies everywhere, thanking the front line people who are risking their own lives to look after us. I love your poem.
