knows his
I reach out
gingerly
to a future
made by choices
not all of them

The Third of three………..
You always nail it with so few words. Great poem, Kim, and something to think about for the rest of the day.
BTW, I fell off a curb two years ago. The sensation of falling, knowing i couldn’t stop it, anticipating the possible injury (about as bad as it could have been) – I still relive that moment and still feel helpless. Maybe other accidents are preventable. Now I step very carefully.

Thank you Sharon — and yes, falling can seem to slow down time. I still have a vivid memory of falling backwards and banging my head five years ago.
