We are a brief bloom
On the fragile skin
Of a molten body
Encircling a massive furnace
We are a blossoming of sentience
With encrusted technologies
Craving wonder, hoping for company
Seeking knowledge and excitement
We truly are stardust
Our bodies built from atoms
Forged in successive stellar explosions
We crave the glories of the Universe
We are Human

That’s glorious – or possibly humbling; okay, I’ll settle for both! Well worth the reposting!

You express our connection to the stars with wonder and respect. Looking up at the night sky reminds me how inconsequential I am but how boundless is our human imagination.

These are thoughts we’d do well to ponder upon. We have too great a sense of our importance. We’re pygmies on a cosmic scale. Not even.

I love this one, Kim: we all carry a little piece of the universe inside of us, though we are only human!
