Build a marriage from kindnesses,
breakfasts in bed, unasked for cups of tea,
gloves found and put in winter coat pockets.
A marriage should be cherished,
along with your partner,
both are valuable,
but they are not the same.
A marriage needs feeding
and watering.
Perhaps more tea?

Good to see the part the mundane plays in maintaining relationships.

I’ve never thought about the difference between marriage and the person to whom I’m married, but I see why I should nurture both.

I think that idea was taught as part of the “Marriage class” we had to attend prior to getting married.
