Sometimes I get gonzo over words
Or struck on a view, a detail
Sometimes I need to capture the
Moment, view, emotion, ache
Sometimes I’m playing

Dear Cheesesellers Wife,
Thank you very much for liking William George Lewis’ painting of Tal-y-Llyn where I worked more than 40 years ago. An old gentleman who had been badly gassed during the First World War in the Leicestershire Regiment, would take all morning to walk around the lake to the Hotel where I worked. He would stop many times for a rest, to admire the views and to write poetry. His poems were always in the style of WWI period. He was always thrilled if the younger customers would do him the coutesy of listening to his recitals. I am very disappointed to say it, but I never found out his name but he was the Father-in-Law of the Arch Druid of that time. Spoiled by sights and sounds in a beautiful place
Keep safe and well,
Best wishes,
Dai.
